Artika Champagne Track LED Rail Light at Costco

I know that a lot of people don’t necessarily think about Costco when they are considering new lighting or home decor options, but the fact is that they have started to offer a lot more new products in store, which compare extremely advantageously to items offered at Home Depot and other big box stores. Since today we’ll be looking at the Artika Champagne Track LED Rail Light, available at Costco, I thought it would be worthwhile to see what is available at Home Depot, using the ‘Rail Light‘ search.

The Artika Champagne Track LED Rail Light, which includes the 5 LED lights, costs only $114.99 at Costco, in Canadian Dollars. Considering that the lights only can cost as much as $7 each, or more, this is a really fantastic deal, in keeping with the other products Artika and Costco have been offering recently, notably the Ampere Moonraker Ceiling Light.

As you can see in the image on the left, the features and benefits of the integrated LED rail light fixture are many, and include:

  • Integrated 5W LED per light
  • Dimmable fixture, which is a huge plus
  • Modern and Robust Design
  • Chrome -plated finish
  • Easy installation
  • Includes hardware

The overall size of the LED Rail Light fixture is 39.4 x 5 x 7, all in inches, so just over 3 feet long, which is great for a 5-light fixture.

The five 5W lights provide a total illumination power of 1600 lumens, which is very acceptable; moreover, the color of the light falls into the ‘warm’ range, or yellow, which, at least for me, is absolutely crucial. I cannot deal with the cold, white daylight-type lights. Indoor lights should be yellow. I also very much appreciate the dimmable feature of this rail light, as you may not need the 1600 lumens at all times.

When it comes to the design and the chrome-plated finish, well, to each is own. I really like the look of the rail, nice and straight, with the bubbly ‘Champagne’ style diffusers on the individual lights, but I realize it may not fit in all settings.

What is certain, however, and based on my previous experience with Artika products, is that this light fixture will be easy to install. I’m thinking less than 30 minutes, everything included, but I’ll let you know once I’ve bought and installed it! The convenience of the included hardware is also though to beat: nothing is more annoying than buying something, getting home, then going to the hardware store again for more stuff.

Overall, the Artika Champagne Track LED Rail Light, available at Costco for only $114.99 plus applicable taxes, seems like a great deal, particularly when compared to the competition. The Costco item number in Canada is 464432, so if your Costco doesn’t have it, make sure to ask where is the closest place you can find it!

    Hey,
Thanks for all of these data here.
I know some about this track light. My questions is what is the lighting not fit for all setting ? Would you like to give some more details ?
    Thank you.

Certainly. I simply meant that the lighting track is of a specific design type that not everyone will like, or that may not fit in certain types of rooms or decors.

Have a great day and thanks for reading!

We put this light in our kitchen and it pulses dramatically when first turned on. Had it installed by an electrician, with an led compatible dimmer switch. I bought another led compatible dimmer and had the same issue. Bought the fixture several months ago in anticipation of our move into a 20 year old condo, and Costco now doesn’t have any to replace it, so I’m just going to use an on/off led compatible switch to see if the problem continues. Love the look of the light, and the price, so if it works ok we’ll go with not dimming it.

Wow, this ‘blinking’ light seems to be a ‘feature’ in peoples lights.
We’ve just taken ours back after waiting for an electrician for 4 months, but Costco don’t stock it anymore. Not sure I want to buy another one now if this blinking light still persists.

Nice looking light and easily installed. However one light burnt out or whatever and it is not replaceable. Now I have to replace the entire fixture. Lasted less than a year. Good thing Costco takes returns. Not recommended.
